Overview
In collaboration with Studio 483 in Davenport, Paragon provided Interior Design services, Furniture Bid document, and Furniture Install for the renovation of the EICC Library on the Clinton Campus.
We transformed the former dark and outdated library into a high-traffic modern academic library containing study rooms and a classroom with full glass walls, and computer benching stations for updated technology.
To create a more open space, we removed the second story loft to add height and replaced the previous windows with larger ones to let more natural light in. We also used low shelving to help make the space feel larger. A fireplace with a stone surround was added for warmth and as a pivotal feature in a comfortable seating area. All furniture, fabrics, carpeting, paints and wall coverings were chosen with timelessness, durability, stain resistance, and environmental consciousness in mind.
