Overview

Nichols Aluminum – currently Aleris – was completely renovated to provide a more efficient work flow, better lighting, and a more pleasant aesthetic. A neutral color palette with accents of the company “green” was chosen to coordinate with the company’s logo. Walnut wood tone and stained concrete floors and counter create a pleasing environment with interesting texture and contrast.

The entire ceiling was removed, and the mechanical systems were revamped and left exposed.  “Clouds” of acoustical ceiling tile were strategically placed above workstations and in the private offices for sound control and task lighting.

Unique to the space is an open staff break area which is used as casual meeting space.  Translucent green resin panels form a curved wall divider separating the space.  Other casual “collaboration” areas are located throughout the space.
