In collaboration with local Architects, Paragon provided Interior Design services for the Trinity Medical Center Pediatric Clinic.
Based on extensive interviews with physician, administration and staff, an interior design concept was developed around a series of large scale murals. Jungle, river and seascape murals were installed, giving the space colorful, interesting focal points, easy to use to distract even the most resistant child. Each of the patient exam rooms is coordinated to the murals, with unique paint colors, floor patterns and chair fabrics coordinated to the colors in the murals.
Linoleum flooring adds interesting texture and warmth. Cheerful fun paint colors, surprising curves and modern lighting add to the lighthearted approach.
The waiting area accommodates both a well and sick child area, with separate seating areas. Children are allowed to sit, lay and climb on a low, “pinwheel” shaped bench in the waiting area. All furniture, fabrics, carpeting, paints were chosen with timelessness, durability, stain resistance, and environmental consciousness in mind.
