Overview

When Western Illinois University decided to make the extension to the Quad Cities Area, they had an exact idea of how the new campus should look. Paragon gladly followed the direction of the University and utilized the expansive floor plans, floor to ceiling windows, and natural light to give this project a new and contemporary feel that fit the University’s image.

Plenty of seating arrangements were made throughout the buildings to foster conversation and offer comfort. The seemingly extensive length of the corridors was broken up with flooring techniques and use of different colors and carpet textures. Classrooms were designed to be ergonomically complementary to students and faculty while maintaining a balance to various teaching techniques. Paragon achieved their overall goal to create various spaces that would inspire education and maintain an aesthetically pleasing element for current and future members.
